Plitec crates are a modular system based on panels and profiles that lets you assemble collapsible, reusable wooden packaging without nails. They assemble and disassemble quickly, reducing empty footprint.

How a Plitec crate is built

The crate is made of three parts: walls built from a single folded piece joined in a ring, together with a base and a lid. The raw material used is 6 mm multi-layer plywood, with 5 plies to ensure strength and lightness.

The corner pieces, on the four vertical edges, are made of 55×0.4 mm galvanized sheet metal, pressed and fixed to the plywood to reinforce the structure. Two 50×0.7 mm galvanized metal frames are applied around the panels, with slots for inserting the fastening tabs. The 0.7 mm metal tabs allow easy and secure assembly of the various elements.

The crate is marked with conventional symbols such as double arrow, glass and umbrella, and shows net and gross weight indications to ease logistics management.
